Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in order to evaluate the opinion of teachers towards the changes in the secondary (middle) school mathematics education programs in 2005 and also during the following years, and also to see the difference between the topics and the innovations. The first thing that was done for the study was that updates of the curriculum made in and after 2005 were examined, the differences between programs and their innovations and the successive programs were analyzed and compared. In addition, the evaluation of teacher opinions regarding the topic is done by survey in 39 primary education mathematic teachers in Bayburt province and having semi-structured interviews (consultation) with 13 of these teachers who volunteered, on the way to collect data. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods were used during the analiysis of data in this research, which was carried out in a special case study fort he secondary (middle) school mathematics education programs. In the analysis of the data, descriptive and content analysis were used in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods while the results of the questionnaires were analyzed in quantitative methods using frequencies and percentages. As a result of the research, changes in secondary school mathematics curricula have been determined and teacher opinions have been evaluated with interest. According to the data, a large group of teachers stated that after 2005, the most comprehensive change was made in 2013 and topics in the curriculum were simplified. Although most teachers are aware of the changes made, not many teachers think they have enough information about the changes. The results obtained were discussed and assessed in the scope of literature, and suggestions fort he findings were presented. One of the most striking of these proposals is that teachers will be asked for their opinion before the programs are updated and they will be given in-service education based on the updates that are applied.
