Abstract (EN)

This study performed on population of 68 students (43 male, 25 female) at the eigth-grade of elemantary school in 2013-2014 term. The mathematics attitude scale comprised of 38 items which developed from Duatepe et al was performed after demographic data obtained. Point of the students was compared with TEOG results. Descriptive statistical methods (Mean, Standart deviation and %) were used for data analysis. Exploratory factor analysis was performed on director for determining factor structure. KMO was performed for determining sample competence level and Barlett test was performed for determining factor structure. Co. Alpha analysis were used for testi of internal consistency. The comparisions between obtained values of groups were made using Independent T test. Variance analysis (ANOVA) was used for comparision of three groups and Sidak test was used for comparision of two groups. Correlation analysis was used for detemining correlation between dimensions. The level of significance was set at p<0,05 in this study. SPSS 22.0 proramme were used for statistical analysis. Accordong to the results, there were statistically significant positive correlation between TEOG exam results with Phobia-Confidence (r=0,289,p<0,05) dimensions and Profeessional significance (r=0,248,p<0,05). There were no statistically significance between TEOG exam results with interest and sympathy dimensions (r=0,04,p>0,05). There were negative statistically significant correlation between TEOG exam results and enjoyment dimensions among study participants (r=-0,139,p<0,05). Key Words: Mathematics Attitude Scale, Elemantary School, TEOG Exam
