Abstract (EN)
In this study, 20 taxa belonging to the genus Centaurea, Cyanus and Psephellus, genera growing in Adıyaman Region, were investigated on the basis of their morphological and palinological properties and revealed the external morphological features and palynological of each taxon. The external morphological properties of 20 taxa have been are determined on the basis of measurements on fresh plant samples and on floristic-systematic publication. Capitulum, involucre, phyllary, flower, achen and pappus for per species have been measured and properties have been determined. In the palynological investigations, pollen morphology of 20 taxons were measured and their properties were determined. With this study, new records of Adıyaman province were obtained. In these records, especially Cyanus celikhanensis Kaya & Ates has been identified as a new species and the morphological and palynological features of the species were examined and published. Just recorded as a new species in the flora of Turkey and the taken place in plant literature wordwide. Also from Centaurea species; Centaurea urvillei DC. subsp. hayekiana Wagenitz, Centaurea solstitialis subsp. schouwii (DC.) Gugler, Centaurea saligna (K. Koch). Wagenitz, Centaurea handelii Wagenitz, Centaurea carduiformis DC., Centaurea aggregate Fisch. & C.A. Mey ex DC. subsp. aggregate, Centaurea consanguinea DC., Centaurea virgata Lam., of Cyanus species; from the genus Cyanus triumfetti subsp. strictus (Waldst. & Kit.) Dostal, Cyanus depressus (M. Bieb.) Sojak, from the genus Psephellus species; Psephellus mucronifer (DC.) Wagenitz was first mentioned as a new record for Adıyaman province. All properties of these new records have been shown on the tables.
