Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, focusing on the disruptions at airports, a total of fourteen airports from different regions in Türkiye and affected by the February 6, 2023 earthquake were selected and the causes of the disruptions were examined. The selected airports are the airports with the busiest air traffic in different geographical regions. Content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the thesis study. In addition, a literature review was conducted on this subject using vosviewer software and the literature on bird strikes, cyber attacks, airline, passenger and cargo traffic before and after the earthquake was examined. Traffic data obtained from DHMI's activity reports for the selected airports were analyzed. After these data and analyzes, the factors causing disruptions at the selected airports were bird strikes and terrorist acts, especially COVID-19, which has affected the whole world.
