Abstract (EN)

This study has been carried out for determination and contribution to the flora of Artvin Çoruh Unıversıty, Seyitler and its environmental place composition between 2012-2014. The research area under review is taken place in Colchic province of Euro-Siberian floristic area of Holarctic and is found in the A8 square according to grid system of Davis. The study area lies between 200 and 2500 m. elevation above the sea level. In this study, total 369 plant taxa belong to 82 families and 271 genera were determined. Five of them belong to Pteridophyta, the remaining 364 taxa were Spermatophyta which included 8 taxa from Gymnospermae and 356 taxa from Angiospermae. The largest families recorded were as follows: Asteraceae (36 taxa), Fabaceae (25 taxa), Gramineae (26 taxa), Brassicaceae (23 taxa), Rosaceae (23 taxa), Lamiaceae (19 taxa), Boraginaceae (13 taxa), Scrophulariaceae (13 taxa), Caryophyllaceae (10 taxa), Ranunculaceae (9 taxa) and Apiaceae (4 taxa), The percentage of phytogeographical origins of 219 taxa was determined. The distribution of the taxa according to the phytogeographical regions was as follows: 134 taxa, Avrupa-Sibirya, 16 taxa, İran-Turan, 9 taxa Mediterranean. Endemism included 11 endemic taxa. The endemic plants and non-endemic rare plants in the study area have been classified to IUCN threat catagories.
