Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of some elicitor applications in different concentrations on the production of triterpenoid quantities of Pistacia lentiscus L.(Mastic tree), which contain valuable secondary metabolites, this plant in vitro conditions. In this context, mature seeds of mastic trees which are surface sterilized were germinated in MS supplemented 1mg/l IBA and the obtained juvenile shoots were proliferated in MS medium supplemented with 1mg/l BAP, 0.5 mg/l GA3. Shoots taken about 1 cm in length from axenic stock materials were cultured in MS medium supplemented with 1 mg / l BAP, 0.5 mg / l GA3 and copper nitrate, silver nitrate, nickel nitrate, lead nitrate and cobalt chloride at 1, 2.and 4 mg/l concentrations seperately. After 28 days from the beginning of culture, stem and leaf parts were dried at room temperature and ethanol extracts were prepared and analyzed by LC-MS / MS with GS-MS. As a result of the heavy metal elicitation, amounts of Ursonic, Moronic, Oleononic, Masticadienolic, Oleonolic and Ursolic acid triterpenes which are known anticancer properties of leaf and stem extracts of P. lentiscus L. are increased compared to the control groups and some triterpenoid compounds not in the control group are also synthesized. It has been determined that heavy metal elicitations reduces the average number of shoot and stem forming capacity and increases the average stem length of juvenile shoots compared to the control group.
