Abstract (EN)

Investıgation of the Effects of Physical Educatıon Teachers on Social Media and Sports Addiction The aim of this study; To examine the effects of physical education teachers' loneliness on social media and sports addiction. People, who are social beings, need to share their feelings and thoughts with other people and to communicate with them. The fact that not all people have the same level of communication skills is one of the most important barriers to communication. Individuals who have difficulty in using this communication may be excluded in the society and pushed into loneliness. This problem is a phenomenon independent of status and profession. It is a problem that can be seen in many occupational groups. The isolation of the individual leads to new communication channels to express himself. Today, the most popular of these communication channels are the internet and social media platforms. When the studies in this field are examined, while loneliness increases the use of social media in general, the use of social media turns into addiction, social loneliness and social isolation. The idea that sports and exercise situations in this vicious circle will have a reducing effect on loneliness shows the importance of the study. In this study, relational survey model, one of the general survey models, is used from quantitative research methods. The universe of the research was included in the research by reaching 201 teachers working as teachers in schools affiliated to the directorate of national education in the province of Elazig in the Spring Term of 2021-2022. In the process of collecting the data of this study, the "Volunteer Participant Form" together with the "Loneliness scale" (UCLA loneliness inventory), "Social Media Addiction" (SMDS) and "Exercise Addiction Scale" (EBÖ) will be used. Analysis of Data The analysis of the data obtained with the measurement tools used in this research will be made using the SPSS 24 program. It has been determined that teachers' social media addiction is at a moderate level. Women's SMB was found to be higher. It has been determined that teachers in the 30-39 age group, family home and living alone, married and unrelated teachers have higher Social media addiction. There is a strong positive relationship between the frequency of social media use and SMB. Social media addiction decreases as the frequency of exercise increases. It has been determined that the risk of exercise addiction of teachers is at the group level. Men's EBI was found to be higher. It has been determined that the exercise addiction of teachers in the 22-29 and 30-39 age group, with a relationship with a middle and high income level, is higher. There is a weak negative relationship between the frequency of social media use and EBÖ. Social media addiction decreases as the frequency of exercise increases. Another factor in coping with loneliness is sports and exercise. As the frequency of exercise increases, it causes exercise addiction. The most important reason for exercise addiction is dislike of body and feeling of being excluded from society for many reasons. In the results of current studies, many factors such as age, duration of exercise, reasons for starting exercise and satisfaction with physical appearance have been determined. According to the results of the study, a positive relationship emerged between the level of loneliness, internet addiction and exercise addiction.
