The examination of the relationship between physical education and sports teachers' professional self-efficacy and fear of negative evaluation

This research will be conducted to examine the relationship between the professional self-efficacy of physical education and sports teachers and their fear of negative evaluation. The population of this research will consist of physical education and sports teachers working in middle schools and high schools in the Şanlıurfa province during the 2022-2023 academic years. The number of physical education and sports teachers working in middle schools and high schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (MEB) is approximately 800. Physical education and sports teachers accessible through random sampling from this population will constitute the sample of this study. To collect data in the research, a "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher will be used to determine some demographic characteristics of physical education and sports teachers (gender, marital status, age, professional service period, school type, presence of a sports background, education level, material status, school administration's perspective on sports). The "Physical Education Self-Efficacy Scale" will be used to determine the professional self-efficacy of physical education and sports teachers, and the "Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale" will be used to determine the rates of fear of negative evaluation. Data collected through the scales of professional self-efficacy and fear of negative evaluation will be analyzed using the statistical package program SPSS 22, and interpretations will be made about the obtained results. According to the results obtained, no significant differences were found among variables such as gender, marital status, age, professional service period, school type, presence of a sports background, education level, material status, and school administration's perspective on sports for physical education and sports teachers
