Discovering career resources of emerging adults in the context of Industry 4.0

Abstract (EN)
In this research, it is aimed to determine the career resources that adults need for career development in the Industry 4.0 process. The research was conducted within the framework of Hirschi's career resources model. For this purpose, a case study from qualitative research methods was conducted. The study group was formed by using criterion sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods. Interviews were conducted with 16 participants, consisting of emerging adults, academics, and employers, using a semi-structured interview form. The interviews were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the research, the findings were classified under 4 main titles and 13 sub-titles. Occupational expertise, soft skills and learning career resources expressed by all 16 participants stand out for a successful career development of emerging adults in the industry 4.0 process. These are followed by career confidence, social career support and career exploration, which are expressed by most of the participants.
