Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty, health anxiety and psychological resilience variables was examined. It was aimed to understand the moderating role of psychological resilience in the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and health anxiety. The sample of the study consisted of 247 people between the ages of 18-45 without chronic physical illness. Demographic Information Form, Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale, Health Anxiety Scale and Connor-Davidson Psychological Resilience Scale Short Form were used as data collection tools. In the analysis process, skewness and kurtosis values were checked for the normality test of the mean scores of the research variables. Pearson Correlation Analysis was applied to examine the relationship between the variables by accepting that they were suitable for normal distribution. Hierarchical regression analysis was applied to examine the predictive relationship. For the moderating role analysis, the SPSS Process Macro plug-in was used and the first model was analysed with a single moderator variable. In the comparison of research variables in terms of sociodemographic variables, t-test and one-way ANOVA were used. As a result of the analyses, it was found that psychological resilience, intolerance of uncertainty, total score and sub-dimensions of intolerance of uncertainty scale were statistically significant predictors of health anxiety. Another finding of the study shows that psychological resilience has a moderating role in the relationship between inhibitory anxiety sub-dimension and health anxiety. The results of the study were discussed within the framework of the literature.
