Approachs at the stage of transition from individual sound education to group sound/chorus training

The aim of this research is to determine the approaches at the stage of transition from individual sound training to collective sound/choral training, to perform situation assessment with the diagnosis and to contribute to make the individual sound training more functional with the recommendations.This research has been prepared, based on the qualitative and quantitative research methods. This research has been realised in the scope of examples consist of instructers who have executed/ are executing voice training at the University education faculties related to Fine Arts Department of Music Education Department at the State Conservatory, and the individual voice training students of the Music Education Department, State Conservatory, 2009-2010 academic year, spring semester.The scientific studies which are directly or indirectly related with this research, were collected to provide data to the sub-problems occured in the scope of the research and a survey was applied to the instructers who have executed/ are executing voice training at the University education faculties related to Fine Arts Department of Music Education Department at the State Conservatory, and the individual voice training students of the Music Education Department, State Conservatory, 2009-2010 academic year, spring semester, which take place in the sampling.The conclusion of this research is; individual voice training methods and techniques prepare a base for the collective voice / choral training. This research recommends a quality individual voice education for the members of a chorus; for a qualified collective voice / choir training.
