Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, gamma and neutron attenuation properties of bioactive amorphous materials with different chemical components will be examined. Gamma attenuation parameters; Linear attenuation coefficient (LAC), Mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), Half value layer (HVL), Tenth value layer (TVL), Mean free path (mfp) and Effective atomic number (Zeff) and Neutron attenuation parameter ΣR and Gamma transmission factors will be examined with MCNP4C Monte Carlo code. Studies with glass materials show that bioactive amorphous glass systems can be used to attenuation and eliminate the harmful effects of radiation.
