Abstract (EN)

In this study, the optimal substract concentration for biohydrogen production has been researched through anaerobic fermentation method over different biomass sources, namely pistachio crust, olive cake, sugar beet pulp. In the study, the following parameters for each subtract has been measured: Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Solid Matter (TSM), Volatile Suspended Solids (VSS), Total Suspended Solid Matter (TSSM), Total Nitrogen (TN), Total Phosphor (TP), Total Protein (TP), Total Carbohydrate (TC), pH and alcalinity. Total biogas and biohydrogen analyses were measured with Gas Choromatography Device. Common properties of the biomass to be used were determined, and then results obtained through the experimental study, properties of the grafting mud to be used, analysis of the gas pressure and the system's behaviour were all examined. At the end of the study, by measuring biomass and biohydrogen efficiencies of matters used in the study with ranging concentrations, the effect of the concentration on gas-efficiency has been discussed. In view of the data obtained, when the three substracts were compared, the highest level of biogas and hydrogen efficiency was measured at sugar beet pulp. The highest biogas amount for sugar beet pulp for 30 g/L substract concentration was calculated to be 387,86 ml/g while the highest hydrogen gas efficiency for sugar beet pulp for 50 g/L substract concentration was calculated as 19,87 ml/g.
