Abstract (EN)
Aim of present research was to find a relationship between boreout, job search behavior, knowledge hiding and knowledge sabotage behavior among employees from Pakistan and Turkiye. Data obtained from a sample of 444 employees from educational, health, police and administrative sectors by using purposive sampling technique. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling technique was used to analyze the obtained data. Mediation group analysis was also performed to find the mean differences among Pakistan Turkiye. Four standardized scale were adapted to measure variables; Boreout by scale Stock, Job search behavior scale by Blau, Knowledge hiding behavior scale by Connelly and Knowledge sabotage behavior (4 items) scale by Serenko. Findings suggested that boreout at workplace leads individual to feel meaninglessness and to be less interested in job. Consequently, this situation cause individual to find new opportunities. Employees engage in knowledge hiding and knowledge sabotage behaviors once they find fewer opportunities of growth and meaninglessness at workplace. In accordance with findings, managers should be open to communicate with subordinates as well as to support employee's ideas to avoid boreout in order to prevent negative consequences. Present research is an important addition in literature to understand the consequences of boreout in relation to job search behavior, knowledge hiding and knowledge sabotage behavior.
