Abstract (EN)

Problematique of postmodernity starts with the same time, which postmodernism's first appear. Just because with intertextuality, texts started to be like more and more intertwined, field of literature's body of rules collapsed, literature squeezed in frames with no limits and artists started to give some examples within this context. An ecole, which lets repeating itself; obliges to re-investigate the old ones again with a new perspective. Because old ones shows that they are re-investigable and this connection -between the new one and the old- is just all about text's fertility and this fertility gives new meanings to the old ones. Like Bovarism which influenced not just it's period, after it's period either. Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary is the first example about a married woman which follows her dreams and passions instead of a stable life and moral rules, and then faces with reality. Bovarism shows itself in field of Turkish Literature as Halid Ziya Usakligil's Aşk-ı Memnu, in Russian literature as Lev Tolstoy's Anna Karenina and as Vladimir Nabakov's King, Queen, Knave. Just because of we must only choose one example from each cultures and field of literatures which we mentioned before and not just cause of it, also we are going to use postmodernism and intertextuality as a limit and which bounds them with each other, so we are going to study on Madamé Bovary, Aşk-ı Memnu and King, Queen, Knave. When impression of realism appears in works and its periods, there is no another way to explain realism without romanticism. Inevitable romanticism brings classicism, which is the reason of romanticism born, one way or another. And this serves to a carnivalesque structure. In this thesis we are going to discuss these; postmodernity and postmodern elements within the context of intertextuality, while we are using works of authors, who we mentioned as limit of thesis. But at the same time we are going to argue that literature cannot be criticizable with the wrong way of what people understand from criticise. So there is only one way to criticise literature with this wrong definition; criticise system of literature, science of literature. When the system gets a part in a thesis, firstly we are going to criticise it's structure. Therefore we are going to use semiology, criticise and structuralism as a method in this thesis. Keywords: Postmodernism, crticise, structuralism, bovarism, intertextuality, semiology
