Abstract (EN)

The Bukhara Khanate, founded in 1500 by the Shaybani, after Shaybani Dynasty was ruled by the Astrakhani and Manghit Dynasties respectively. Bukhara Khanate, which made its name in history with powerfull rulers and victories during the Shibani Dynasty, entered a new area with the end of the rule of this dynasty family. The new dynasty family was the Astrakhani Dynasty that would carry the legacy inherited from the Shibanids despite the difficult conditions of the period, and opened the doors o a different period in which the political atmosphere changed in the XVIIth century Bukhara Khanate. This new period did not reveal a picture at the peak of power like Shibani Dynasty. During this dynasty, there was a period in the Transoxiana geography, in which throne fights were experienced frequently, local powers posed a threat to the center, and developments that prepared the end of the khanate began. XVIIth century started with a period chaos in Bukhara Khanete, where fights for the throne were frequent and central authority could nat be established. İmamkulu Khan, on the other hand, elimaneted his rivals at the beginning of this century, put an end to the fights for the throne within the dynasty family, and with the support of his brother Nadir Muhammed, he succeeded in being the provider of peace and stability in the Khanate for a long time. Despite many political and social variables, İmamkulu Khan, who had a determined policy for a log time, tried to maintain a central authority until he voluntarily transferred the throne to his brother and fought against the Kazakhs in the north and the Safavids in the south. He managed to pursue a relatively moderate policy in domesictic and foreign policy and left a visible trace in the history of the khanate while İmamkulu Khan followed a policy of balance in foreign policy, he tried to cope with various rebellions and confusions within the khanate. Uzbek political structure, formed by the economic system based on the land, struggled to protect the central authority in the kahante, with the regional administrations gaining power. The period ended with the coming to power of the new ruling family, Manghit Dynasty, that were not Genghis lineage.
