Abstract (EN)

The radioactive 210Po which is from products of 238U decay series decays to stable 206Pb by alpha radiation. 210Po, which has very high radioactive poisoning, passes through to people from various ways and food products. If it is taken into the body, it can irradiate organisms and cause serious health problems. In this study, it is aimed to calculate activity concentrations and annual effective dose rates of 210Po element in daily consumed foods. Taking into consideration the daily feeding routines, food samples were collected from different provinces and provinces in different conditions. After each food sample was prepared by radiochemical methods, activity concentrations of 210Po nucleus were measured using alpha spectrometer system and annual effective dose rates were calculated. The values obtained from the study were compared with the results of similar studies in the literature and the limit values determined by UNSCEAR.
