Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT The main objective of the study is to analyze primary school curricula of Science and Life Skills courses developed in the historical term of Republic to the present (2013) in terms of environmental education. For this purpose, qualitative research method and document analysis technic were used. The research hasn't been restricted to only identifying the standarts, outcomes, and content of Science curriculum and Life Skills curriculum, but also the coherence of all the curricula with National Education and Environment Council, Development Plans, and National and International contracts have been investigated. As a conclusion, the findings of the research show that the education programmes developed in the last 25 years period have rich content in terms of environmental education and this content parallels with Environment Council, Development Plans and National and International contracts.
