Abstract (EN)

The hashiya written by Dede Omar Ruseni, known for his Sufi and literary aspects, to the commentary of Enwaru't-tanzil wa esraru't-ta'wil is in manuscript form. The 570-volume work is multifaceted. The content of the work, which reflects the characteristics of the Ottoman tafsir tradition, has a deep content including grammatical rules, the science of rhetoric, the exegesis of the Qur'an trough the Qur'an itself, the tahric of hadiths, istishhad and poetry, the inclusion of İsrailiyyat news, philological analysis, explanations on fiqh, kalam, Sufism, philosophy and science, and issues related to ulumu'l-Qur'ân. In this study, the method and content of the work are analyzed in a systematic manner, with a special focus on Surahs al-Fatiha and al-Baqarah. The research explores the additions made by author in the hashiya that he wrote to primary tafsir, the techniques employed, and the examples of the issues contained within the work discussed. The selected part of the work has been critically edited (tahqiq) and contributed to the academic literature. Keywords: Dede Omar, Hashiya, Tafsir of Baidawi, Critical Edition, Analysis.
