Abstract (EN)
Detecting respiratory issues early is crucial; listening to lung sounds can aid in early detection. However, traditional auscultation requires good listening skills and clinical experience. There are other ways to create images of the lung such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Echocardiogram (echo), and Computed Tomography (CT), but these methods are expensive and not affordable for low and middle-income countries. Therefore, it is important to have an accurate and inexpensive method for diagnosing respiratory illnesses early. An electronic stethoscope can be the solution to reduce costs and improve accuracy Constructing an electronic stethoscope involves digital design, including the SPI interface, register map, synthesis, and post-layout simulations. Analog design consists of 8-bit ADC design and layout, Low Dropout Regulators design and layout, and Bandgap Reference voltage design and layout. This thesis describes the design strategy and the pros and cons of designing analog circuits.
