Abstract (EN)

In parallel with the developing industry after the 18th century, urbanization rates increased rapidly around the world. Due to this rapid urbanization, a number of important problems have emerged in cities. The most important of these problems is the urban transportation problem. The urban transportation problem has become one of the biggest problems for humanity, increasing day by day. As stated in years of research and scientific study results to solve urban transportation problems; An effective, accessible, economical, reliable, healthy, safe and fast transportation system needs to be established. In addition, a comprehensive transportation planning should be carried out, especially in big cities, to ensure that the transportation system components are compatible and connected with each other. In addition to solving urban transportation problems, sustainability is also an important issue. For these reasons, in the studies we carried out throughout Diyarbakır province, analyzes were made in the SPSS 24.0 program with the data we received from public institutions and organizations, problems were identified and predictions were made for the future in order to establish a sustainable and developed public transportation system suitable for the general structure of the city. According to the findings obtained as a result of the study, solution suggestions were presented and evaluations were made about the policies that should be determined.
