Abstract (EN)

In the scope of this thesis, a perennial garden has been designed by incorporating both natural and exotic taxa. In the research, herbaceous perennial taxa were used in 3 different media (50% stream shaft + 50% soil, 25% stream shaft + 75% soil and 100% soil) in 4 different layer types (structural + thematic, structural + ground cover, thematic + ground cover and It includes perennial garden design application made in 3 repetitions (structural + thematic + ground cover).Combination of vertical layer and soil types; It has been defined as a different growing environment. In this way, 12 habitats were created. In this perennial garden, soil analyses, phenological observations (such as the beginning of vegetation, flowering period), chlorophyll measurements (μmol m-2), morphological measurements (height, diameter) and survival percentages were measured. The data obtained for each taxon were tabulated separately and it was tested how the habitats affected the growth of plants. Furthermore, the interaction between months and growing environments for the utilized plant taxa was examined. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences and interactions across layers and months. It has been determined that changes in heigh and diameter development vary according to growing environments and months. The findings obtained enabled various inferences to be made about the growth performances of the taxa and their ability to adapt to environmental conditions by comprehensively examining the survival rates of the plant taxa used in certain growing environments. Key Words: Herbaceous perennial plant, Perennial garden, Natural taxon, Exotic taxon
