Abstract (TR)

In Turkey, one of the areas in which the most investment is made, is the dams. For Turkey economicy, dams are important to be protected durable to the eartquakes. The dinamic analyses are the fundamental of earthquake durability designs. In this study; the dams were catagorized, the criteria for chosing the dam types were investigated and the live or dead loads affecting the dams were given in details. The simplified analysing methods for the dynamic analyses of the dams were investigated and the finite element model, which is used commonly in recent years, was explained with more details. For earth-filled and concrete dams, linear and nonlinear analyses were studied and it was examined how these models are made. For this purpose, in nonlinear models for earth-filled dams, Drucker-Prager and curved description models were used. On the other hand, for concrete dams Drucker-Prager and three parameters models were studied. As a result, it was seen that finite-element model is a more seperior method than the linear and nonlinear methods and nonlinear models verify more realistic results theoritically.
