Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the risks to which critical infrastructure components would be exposed in a potential earthquake scenario in the central districts of Eskişehir province were analyzed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In this study, spatial distributions were developed using the IDW (Inverse Distance Weighted) interpolation method using PGA (Maximum Ground Acceleration) data obtained from stations belonging to the EstuNet seismic network. The generated earthquake acceleration maps were evaluated by considering ground amplification and local site effects in central settlements, primarily in the Tepebaşı and Odunpazarı districts. Furthermore, critical infrastructure elements (such as transportation, energy, and healthcare) were overlaid with the IDW maps, and potential hazard zones were identified. Thanks to the EstuNet seismic network stations used in the study, the study was updated with real-time data.
