Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of different training programs on the anthropometric and motoric characteristics of the swimmers. 45 people aged between 9 and 11 years and who have at least 2 years of sports age were enrolled in the study. Three different working groups (elastic band + swimming; dry land + swimming; swimming) were created and 12 weeks training program was applied. In the study, 50 m free-style swimming performance measurements with some anthropometric and motoric features were performed before the training for 4, 8, and 12th week with 4 repetitions. As statistical analysis, descriptive statistics were given for categorical variables. Since the parametric test assumptions were not provided, Kruskal Wallis analysis and post hoc paired comparison test were used to determine which groups were the cause of the difference. Anthropometrically; there were statistically significant differences between the groups in, leg, arm, hand and stroke length, biceps, upper leg, chest, waist, hip circumference, shoulder and pelvis diameter measurements (p <0.05); and in motoric features, vertical jump, arm force, velocity, upper body force and 50 m freestyle swimming performances (p <0.05). There were no significant differences in height, body weight, body fat percentage, wrist, knee and ankle diameter, long jump, flexibility, aerobic and balance test parameters (p> 0.05). As a result, in the elastic band training group, biceps environment, vertical jump, flexibility, aerobic capacity and upper body strength whereas in the group doing the ground training, the upper leg, chest circumference, long jump, arm force, speed, balance parameters were found to be better. In the 50 m freestyle swimming performance, it can be said that the ground training group provided more improvement compared to the elastic band group.
