Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to determine the teachers' workaholic tendencies and their job satisfaction in different worker types. The population of this descriptive research, in which survey model is used, comprises the teachers working in state schools in the center of Bursa. Research sample consists of 1013 teachers. In the process of collecting data for the research, "Workaholism Scale" and "Job Satisfaction Scale" were used. Descriptive statistics, the t-test, the variance analysis (ANOVA), Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H, Sidak (multiple comparison test) and Chi-Square tests were used to analyze the data collected. When we examine the survey results, almost one third of the teachers participated in the survey have workaholic tendencies. Teachers who have workaholic tendencies are enthusiastic addicts, work addicts and work enthusiasts. The workaholic tendencies of the teachers differ meaningfully in terms of gender, school type, branch, total service time and service time in the current school; but, no statistical discrepancy was found in the workaholic tendencies of them in terms of marital status. Job satisfaction levels of the teachers differ meaningfully according to the branches and total service times of them; however, no statistical discrepancy was found in the job satisfaction levels of them in terms of gender, marital status, school type and service time in the current school. Additionally, job satisfaction levels of the teachers differ meaningfully according to the worker types.
