Abstract (EN)

Traditional games with entertainment purposes have been used as potential experimental areas for research activities which include but not limited to mathematical analysis, artificial intelligence and human behavior. The computational capabilities of modern computers have increased the complexities of these games and eventually formed the generation of video games. This study takes the turn-based strategy video game franchise Sid Meier's Civilization as a sample case for mathematical analysis and gameplay evaluation. Specifically, the suitability of graph theory in the evaluation of the game has been explained along with a conceptually developed game to resemble the Civilization's core gameplay.
