Abstract (EN)

Subject: The effect of healing of the gut mucosa in the rats which created temporal mechanical ileus, fed with probiotic. Objective: Created a model in the rats, to prevent mucosal damage and related effects in the patients, who were operated due to mechanical ileus. Some groups fed with probiotics, some groups fed with standard fodder. It is objected that the damage of gut mucosa and related effects how to expose the difference of the groups. Materials and Methods: 48 female wistar-albino type rats are separated in five groups. In the first operation, other group's terminal ileum are tied up except for control group. Two groups 24, other two groups 48 hours later operated again and terminal ileum obstructions are removed. During that time, with probiotic is fed each one of those 24 and 48 hours obstructed groups. 24 hours later that obstruction is removed, control group and other groups are operated for the third time for sample. Terminal ileum, liver, spleen, MLN, blood and serum samples are taken. Results: To those group which is obstructed and fedwith probiotics during 48 hours, significant increase is observed in mucosa cell loss, mucosal edema. In the groups which are not fed with probiotics bacterial translocation is observed most. In 24 hours obstructed and fed with probiotics, tissue GR, serum NO and eritrocit RAT found less. Conclusion: The high rate of mucosal edemas in the groups that are fed with probiotics can be seen as damage but we think that probiotics are consonant with strength of mucosal barrier. So in the fed with probiotics groups, it is possible that bacterial translocation is seen less and some antioxidative enzymes are found less. More work is needed in order to put forward the benefits of probiotics in the patients operated with obstruction. Key words: Probiotic, mucosal damage, obstuction, bacterial translocation
