Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to research the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and distress toleration via the meaning that young people attribute to life. The sample of the study was determined using the appropriate sampling method from Malatya, Adiyaman, Gaziantep, Kayseri and Elazig, consists of 761 young adults, 522 women and 239 men. The data for the study was obtained using the Sociodemographic Information Form, the Meaning in Life Questionnaire, the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale and Distress Tolerance Scale. Relational screening model was used in the research. For the analysis of the data, independent sample t-test, one way variance analysis (anova), pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis were used. As a result of the research, it has been found that there is a relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and distress toleration via the meaning attributed to life. The findings were discussed in line with other researches in the literature.
