Abstract (EN)

With the increasing population and industrialization in Turkey, the amount of energy need is also increasing. Turkey imports approximately 74% of its energy demand and fossil fuel resources are used to a large extent to meet its energy needs. Carbon emissions released into the atmosphere as a result of fossil fuel consumption harm the environment. Increasing renewable energy resources is important in terms of both reducing Turkey's energy imports and reducing the damage it causes to the environment. In recent years, these investments have been supported by legislative changes encouraging renewable energy sources. One of the renewable energy sources is solar energy source. It has been observed that investments in licensed and unlicensed solar power plants have increased remarkably in the last ten years in Turkey. Financial leasing is the most important financing tool used in the financing of solar power plant investments in Turkey. In this study, it is aimed to examine the historical development and theory of financial leasing, the financial leasing mechanism in Turkey, the developments in the sector and the technical features of solar power plants, facility installations. In this direction, a sample feasibility analysis of the SPP investment, which is planned to be made for an area of 655 kWp roof type in Gaziantep, is prepared and the discounted cash flow method is used in its economic evaluation.
