Abstract (EN)

The use of electronic devices is increasing with the rapid development of technology around us. The increase of electromagnetic field sources in susceptible environments, such as hospitals, causes electromagnetic interferences between devices, while also pose a risk to human health.In this study electromagnetic field strength measurements has been taken in critical environments in Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine Farabi Hospital. Depending on the power of the transmitter and working hours, it is observed that the presence of TRT Trabzon Medium Wave Radio Transmitter in the vicinity of the hospital has effected some medical devices in the hospital due to the electromagnetic field it radiates.The electric field strength values obtained from the result of measurements has been compared with the limit value of 3V/m, standard for the health care facilities set by Information Technologies and Communication Agency. In addition, graphical representations of the mean values of the electric field strength were obtained with the help of Matlab software.
