As a result of adequate and balanced nutrition, individuals can be healthier by increasing their diet quality and increasing their quality of life with a more active lifestyle. The aim of this study; to evaluate the nutritional status of adult individuals living in Dörtyol district of Hatay province with the Healthy Eating Index 2015 (HEI-2015) and to evaluate the relationship between quality of life and quality of life using the Short Form Quality of Life (SF-36). Anthropometric measurements, SF-36 scale, HEI-2015, IPAQ, food consumption frequency and 24-hour food consumption record were taken and evaluated. Research was carried out on 200 adult individuals aged 19-65 between, October 2020-June 2021 in Hatay Province Dörtyol District. 92 (46,0%) of our participants are male, 108 (54,0%) are female, mean (±S) age of the individuals was 35,3±12,61. Diet quality grouping, there were 108 (%54,0) participants in the bad diet quality (≤ 50 points) group, while 92 (%46,0) have a diet quality which should be improved. There are no participants with a good quality diet. There was a significant difference in diet quality classification between the genders (p<0.05). Men have lower diet quality than women. Total average point of Healty Eating Index-2015 is male individuals; 48,1±13,10 and female individuals; 50,1±13,36 points. It was determined that only 15.5% of the individuals were physically active and significant difference was found between physical activity levels according to gender (p<0.05). Men are more active than women. There is a significant difference between the physical function, pain and mental components of individuals by gender (p<0.05). When we examine the daily energy and nutrient intakes of the individuals participating in the research; for male individuals fiber is not taken at sufficient level, for female energy and fiber are not taken at sufficient levels. Macro and micro nutrient intakes of individuals in the diet quality group that needs to be improved are at a significantly better level (p<0.05). A significant negative correlation was found between HEI-2015 score and IPAQ value and between HEI-2015 score and education level (p<0.05). There is a positive and significant relationship between HEI-2015 score and age (p<0.05).
