Abstract (EN)

In the 21st century, aviation sector is one of the prominent areas. The interest in airline transportation is increasing due to the globalization of trade with the developing technology, the increase in inter-country and intercontinental travels, the less time it takes compared to road and maritime transportation and the decrease in the difference in transportation prices. Despite the positive developments mentioned, the negative aspects of aviation cannot be ignored. Aviation is one of the areas that have a direct impact on noise, climate change, and air pollution. Especially with the increasing population, the fact that the airports remain in the city with the approach of the cities to the airports reveals the noise exposed from the airports. When the effects of noise on humans are examined, risks such as possible hearing loss, physiological and psychological health problems emerge in the literature. In order to prevent negative effects, especially for these reasons, directives and certificates have been determined to reduce the noise at airports due to aircraft noise. ICAO (International Civil Aviation Authority) has published Annex 16 for aircraft noise and has also specified noise certification tests for aircraft. When we look at our country, it is seen that aviation has developed considerably, and more than half of the provinces have airports. In addition, some provinces have more than one airport due to increasing capacity and demand. Muğla, one of these provinces, has international airports in Dalaman and Bodrum. Due to the recent migration of people to these regions, population growth is accelerating, and it is important to plan and control settlements in accordance with noise directives. In this thesis study, it is aimed at modeling the noise map of Dalaman International Airport. The studies in the literature have been reviewed, and the basis of noise modeling has been investigated. Directives, Noise certification, and calculation methods are mentioned. A noise map of Dalaman Airport was created by processing the data through the IMMI program.
