Abstract (EN)
As a part of the High Luminance-Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) program, the end cap calorimeter of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment needs to be upgraded for various reasons. In this context, High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) is being developed. The HGCAL is a sampling calorimeter and includes both electromagnetic and hadronic parts. HGCAL has unprecedented transverse and longitudinal readout and trigger capabilities. This calorimeter needs to be renewed as software as well as other features. In this context, the energy linearity and detector efficiency of the calorimeter were investigated with the help of data produced by two different methods for photon and pion particles.
