Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of defoliants doses which can operate at different temperatures and methods of administration of the important morphological cotton defoliant on agriculture and quality.Gossypium hirsutum L. Flash kinds of species were used for this study. The researchwere carried out in 2014 at Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Agriculture, Research and Application Farm, in accordance with the split plot experimental design, as three iteration, with row spacing of 70 cm and the length of 12 m in the 8-row plots. In the study, the boll opening rates with leaf numbers, seed cotton yield, boll seed cotton weight, ginning yield, 100 seed weight, fiber length, fiber fineness, fiber strength, fiber degree of maturity, short fiber content, fiber brightness, yellowness rateof fibers, trash countin fiber werestudiedprior to the application and the following 7, 14 and 21 days. Effect of the defoliant application methods were determined to important on the leaf number (except to 21. day), 100 seed weight, ginning yield and yellowness rate of fiber level as statistical. Also doses of defoliant were found important as statistical for leaf number, leaf defoliation rate, fiber thinness, fiber strength, fiber degree of maturity. As a result of this study were obtained application of defoliant more useful with sharp knife. Study were conducted for determining to the time of defoliant application effect of the applications and defoliant doses on the total boll number, open boll number, rate of the open boll, seed cotton yield, boll seed cotton weight, ginning yield, length of fiber, content of short fiber, degree of brilliant, number of membrane in the fiber were determined to unimportant as statistical.
