The indispensable role of photography in the age of climate change

The global impact of climate change has become increasingly evident, creating an urgent need for collective action. While scientific reports and policy developments play a crucial role, it is equally important to recognize the power of art to raise awareness and mobilize individuals. Art has the unique ability to evoke emotions, create dialogue, and create a deep connection between individuals and the environment. Photography, as in many other media, is used as an important and rapid method of influence on the way the issue of climate change is perceived. Photographs addressing the climate change movement are important in documenting environmental problems and creating global awareness. In this age where we experience climate change from every aspect, the art of photography will enable societies to take action on environmental problems. This study investigates where and how artists take part in the global climate change movement and the perspectives of artists interpreting climate change.
