Women academicians who are working in the faculties of theology and Islamic seciences approaches to Islamic feminism (Example of the Eastern Black Sea Region)

The current study in which is the qualitative method was preferred due to subject, was designed in a phenomenological pattern. In this framework, a semi-structured in-depth interview determined by purposive sampling was conducted with eight women academicians who are working in the faculties of Theology and İslamic Seciences in Eastern Black Sea region. The interviews which are evaluated by descriptive analysis were about Islamic feminism which is one of the rising paradigms of recent years, and what extent Islamic feminism and it is arguments are known and supported by the academicians who were participators. At the same time female academicians were asked to evaluate hermeneutics, hadith and fiqh was requested from the female academics. As a result of research data it is found that, women and men are seen as equal about having the rights and religious responsibilities, and also being addressed by the Creator in Islam by the writers and academicians that are described as Islamic feminists. Additionally, in the light of the data the emphasis on interpretations of all of the commentaries, hadith and Islamic law about creation of woman are biased is remarkable. Consequently, within framework of the research, it is discussed whether it will have an positive impact on women to remake these interpretations as neutral as possible in today's conditions and various bidding were presented. To sum up, when the whole research carried out within descriptive analysis method in phenomenological design and all the data obtained were examined, prevailing opinion has been formed that the responsible of the consequences negative situation were experienced by the women, was people and their intellectual structures not Islam. Moreover, it is obtained that Islamic feminism was accepted and evaluation and inferences were made in accordance with the arguments of Islamic feminism by the participators. Moreover, Islamic feminism although isn't accepting. Nevertheless participator academicians specifically stated that using these arguments does not make them Islamic feminists and they were very sensitive about privacy of their identities.
