Abstract (EN)

Ceramic, has an important place among the indispensables of people with the transition to settled life. In this period with the presence of fire, ceramics were used as glazed and unglazed. In order to carry the water and to preserve the water, ceramics emerged due to the need for a dish. For centuries, it has been used in pottery making, and has been a tool for the production of brick in ancient times and today. The fact that the ceramics mud have a plastic structure has revealed its relation with many art branches. The art of marbling has been exposed to the contradictions related to its history. The art of marbling is a branch of art which is not known by whom and where it was first built. Marbling, water density is increased and mixed with various paints and materials, then these shapes are transferred to paper, fabric, wood and glass ceramics. In line with the diverse needs of todays people, the convenience of technology in artistic and scientific studies has been prepared for use in different materials rather than just paper decoration. Marbling, which manifest itself in decorative products, comes to the for in artistic studies, academic field and almost every field. In this thesis, general information about marbling art, construction stages, techniques and types as well as in formation about the examples, and also the pur pose of the thesis.'First baked which have done the application of marbling tecnique to different ceramic mud varieties and paper added ceramics' about information, the stages of joining of marbling and ceramics, tecniques and examples of artists are included. This study has been prepared in order to get the resources of those interested in art and to examine the art of marbling from a scientific point of wiew. Key Words: Marbling, Art, Ceramic, Paper
