Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between science and techonology literacy levels with critical thinking levels of elementary school 4th and 5th grade students according to some variables besides, to determine students? scores of science and technology literacy and critical thinking levels? depending on independent variables. The study group comprise 714 fourth and fith grade students receiving education at schools selected within the province of Afyonkarahisar. For analyzing the data, frequencies, percentage, mean, standart deviation, t-test, bivariate and partial correlation analysis, one-way analysis of variance tests were used. According to the findings of this study, there is a positive and medium level meaningful relationship between science and technology literacy levels with critical thinking levels of 4th and 5th grade students. Besides, the students? science and technology literacy levels differ significantly in terms of all demographic qualities and the students? critical thinking levels significantly differ in terms of other of demographic qualities except grade levels.
