Abstract (EN)
This research, applied to primary school administrators, was carried out in order to find out the anxiety of primary school administrators which occurs when they return to teaching job and the research tries to find solutions to this condition. The literature survey about administrators' return to the teaching job was done. Information survey method was practiced in this research. The questionnaire was used in four districts ( Bağlar, Kayapınar, Sur, Yenişehir) in Diyarbakır. The questionnaire was applied to 195 administrators who work in primary schools which are within the scope of conversion to secondary school or not. The questionnaire used in the research is made up of two parts. The first part involves 8 questions including personal knowledge about administrators on the other hand second part involves 41 questions about the anxiety administrators would face when they return to teaching job. The opinions of administrators about returning to teaching job are classified according to gender, age, branch, title, year of experience, experience in administration, number of teachers in the schools and place of the schools. Results which are at the level of p<0,05and considered coherent are only shown and evaluated in the data acquired from statistical analyses. Incoherent groups were not taken into consideration. One of the most important parts, affecting the efficiency in the school and leading to achievement, is school administration. Therefore the success or failure of administrators is of great importance. In this research primary school administrators' anxiety of returning to teaching job was intended to be determined in the view of various parameters. The research was applied to 195 school administrators. The research found out that the level of anxiety changed according to gender, age, branch, title, year of experience, experience in administration, number of teachers in the schools and place of the schools. The research also found out that factors like monetary problems, professional incompetence, social status, neighborhood, peer pressure and communication affected the reason for returning to teaching job.
