Abstract (EN)
The moderator effect of the post-migration living difficulties of Syrian refugees living in Turkey between their traumatic experiences and their post-traumatic growth was examined in this study. The study sample of the research consists of 301 Syrian refugees, 192 women and 109 men, between the ages of 18-65 living in the province of Hatay. As data collection tools, Personal Information Form, Cumulative Trauma Scale for traumatic experiences, Post Traumatic Growth Inventory to determine post-traumatic growth level, and Post-Migration Living Difficulties Scale to determine post-migration difficulties were used. As a result of the study, it was determined that the post-migration living difficulties of the Syrian refugees living in Turkey had a low level of moderator effect between their traumatic experiences and PTG levels. As the traumatic experiences and the level of PMDL increase together, the level of PTG in Syrian refugees also increases. In addition, collective identity traumas such as being imprisoned, tortured, discriminated against and growing up in a poor family have been found to positively predict the level of PTG.
