Abstract (EN)

In this work; total protein, glutation, fatty acid and lipid peroxidation (MDA) analyses were made to five newly synthesized schiff bases in of S. cerevisiae culture environments. YEPD medium environments were prepared for the development and reproduction of S. cerevisiae. For the application groups; 10 mg and 20 mg concentrations from each one of the schiff bases were added to the culture environments. The acquired supernatant and total protein, GSH and MDA analyses; with the rest of the pellet fatty acid analysis was made. When the results of the control group and the schiff bases groups were compared; it was observed that the newly synthesized schiff bases had different effects on the biochemical and immune systems of S. cerevisiae. These results were obtained: quantity of total protein being increased through cumulation as the protein cell structure was deteriorated, quantity of GSH increasing with the adaptation exhibited to the oxidative stress setting, quantity of MDA increasing with the catalyzing of lipid peroxidation, of the saturated fatty acids 12:0, 14:0, 16:0 being decreased and of the unsaturated fatty acids 18:2, 18:3, 20:0 being increased. In the study, newly synthesized schiff bases, especially with the antioxidant defense effect and cytotoxic feature is expected to support works aimed at curing diseases and contibute to literature.
