Investigation of the effect of occupational health and safety training on occupational health and safety awareness among employees; a research in an aquaculture facility

From ancient times to the present day, numerous studies have been conducted on occupational health and safety, with the primary goal of preventing work accidents and occupational diseases. With the advancement of industry and technology, working conditions and environmental factors have changed. Unfortunately, these changes have led to the emergence of negative and poor working conditions, resulting in a significant increase in work accidents and occupational diseases. This situation has made the establishment of occupational health and safety awareness among employees crucial in workplaces. These trainings aim to provide employees with knowledge and awareness in the field of occupational health and safety, with the goal of minimizing work accidents and occupational diseases. The present study focused on investigating the impact of occupational health and safety trainings on employees' awareness of occupational health and safety. The study was conducted with the employees of a fish processing factory. The data for this research was collected through direct surveys using the questionnaire method and analyzed using the SPSS software. The results of the study revealed that occupational health and safety trainings have a positive impact on raising awareness among employees regarding occupational health and safety.
