Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research was to compare the traditional sowing system with direct sowing system and to evaluate the effects on lentil varieties of these systems in barley - lentil rotation in dry farming conditions in Kırsehir. Study was conducted on the trial fields of Kırsehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Agriculture, during the growing season of 2015-2016.The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with split plot arrangements having four replications, with five lentil varieties. In the study, the yield and yield components, morphological and phenological characteristics of lentil varieties were examined and the correlations between the characteristics examined were determined. Analyses of variance revealed considerable variations for all the traits. In addition, traditional sowing method and direct sowing method were evaluated by partial budget analysis. The average grain yield (103.9 kg/da) obtained from the traditional sowing method of lentil varieties was statistically higher than the average grain yield (77.1 kg/da) obtained from direct sowing method. In the partial budget analysis, even though traditional sowing practice (262.91 TL/da) was superior compare to direct sowing practice (195.28 TL/da) in terms of gross income, it was determined that there was no difference in terms of net profitability (164.91 TL/da and 162.28 TL/da, respectively). The grain yield among varieties ranged from 129.0 kg/da to 48.6 kg/da. Şakar was in the foreground in both applications with grain yield values of 144.4 kg/da and 113.7 kg/da respectively. In addition to different applications on yield, the basic parameters such as the number of plants per square meter, the number of seeds per plant, the number of pods per plant have been decisive. It was determined 27 highly significant positive correlations, and 3 significant positive and 12 highly significant negative correlations among the features examined.
