Abstract (EN)
Exotic plant diversity was investigated by examining the woody plants in the landscaped areas within the boundaries of the central district of Kırşehir. In this research, information about morphology, propagation of plants and culture forms used in landscape are given. As a research area, a total of 35 parks, a central median and a sidewalk on the main arteries and the gardens of some public institutions and organizations were identified. 85 genera and 153 species (163 cultuvar) belonging to a total of 37 families were observed from the woody forms of the Gymnosperm and Angiosperm plants within the boundaries of the research area. Culture forms frequently used in research areas; Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. cv. "Pissardii Nigra" (Purple Leaved Plum) preferred with its red-purple leaves and pink flowers, Prunus serrulata Lindl. (Cherry Kanzan) is an essential part of the parks with its rose-like flower structure, Tilia tomentosa Moench (Silver Lime) which gives a beautiful impression with its scent and appearance, Aesculus hippocastanum L. (Horse Chestnut) with its beauty of its flowers and its majestic appearance, Platanus orientalis L. (Oriental Plane Tree) with its long and wide crown, and evergreen many conifers were identified as their appearance.
