Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the antiproliferative effects of Ankaferd hemostat, which is a hemostatic agent on non-small cell lung cancer cells, were determined. For this purpose, normal lung cell BEAS-2B cell line and non-small cell lung cancer A549 cell line were used in the experiment. Cell viability, cell index obtained from xCELLigence real-time cell analysis system, mitotic index, BrdU labeling index and caspase activity were evaluated as cell kinetic parameters in the experiments. ABS concentrations of 1μl/ml, 2μl/ml and 4μl/ml were used for both cell lines in the experiments. 1μl/ml Ankaferd Hemostat concentration was determined as IC50 dose. The results obtained from this study, which investigated the antiproliferative effects of ABS on non-small cell lung cancer cells, has been shown caused a significant decrease in cell viability, cell index, mitotic index and BrdU labeling index parameters, while ABS caused a significant increase in caspase activity in A549 cell line.
