Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between managers' leadership styles and competitive strategies of the business. The sample of the study consists of 311 people working in managerial positions in the textile enterprises active in 2018 in Kahramanmaraş. In this context, the survey was distributed to 350 people considering invalid surveys. In this study, the relationship between leadership styles and competition strategies is examined with the example of textile enterprises operating in Kahramanmaraş province. Descriptive statistical methods and correlation analyzes (correlation, regression) were used to evaluate the data. Likert type scale was used in the questionnaires. As a result of the research, it was seen that leadership styles play an active role in the application of competition strategies. The leadership style also affects the competition strategy applied in markets where there is intense competition. A statistically significant and positive relationship was found between leadership style and cost strategies, differentiation strategies and focusing strategies.
