Abstract (EN)

This thesis explores the wide and vast area of advanced video-game programming and the fundamental outcome it erupts to provide enjoyment and engagement to players. Six games were designed and constructed before being tested by a series of questionnaires; it is expected that without wanting to generalize too much, the findings will help to point towards some of the most imperative factors to influence satisfaction and the immersion degree of the player. The results show that visual appeal, varied gameplay, and custom ability to enhance the experience are important factors. The thesis also reflects on how such emerging technologies as virtual reality can be applied to make player engagement revolutions. The thesis has also emphasis on the role of ethical consideration in design. Such research insights would guide developers who wish to craft compelling and immersive experiences in gaming. The conclusion showcases that the need for continuous innovation and adaptability emerges in response to the dynamic preferences of the international gaming community.
