SUMMARY A Structural Analysis in connection with space: A Case Study on Ottoman Architecture (15th -17th Centuries) The basic aim of the proposed study is to analyse structural systems in connection with space. Ottoman Religious Architecture (15th -17th Centuries) is taken for field study. Spatial development in Ottoman Religious Architecture should be taken into consideration with structural system, which is also composed, of different architectural elements. The structural elements will be introduced in detail. As a theoretical framework; the relationship among structural elements, the way and form of their applications, their effects on space and mass organisations, and their role in the composition will be put forward, using visual materials. The report is introduced in five chapters. In the first chapter; structure and structural elements, construction techniques and the materials is examined. In the second chapter; proposed method is explained in the detail. In the third chapter; suggested methodology is applied on 26 samples, using visual presentations materials. In the fourth chapter; structural analyses in connection with space development are made for each sample, spatial development process is determined, and also development of structural elements is criticised.
