A research on the use of figurative language in Memmed İsmayıl's poetry booknamed 'Yoxun Varlığı'

In literature, poets can refer to the depth of meaning of words in order to express their feelings and thoughts, dreams and longings while creating their poems. For this reason, words may often not be used with their original meaning. In this context, it is necessary to look at the whole part. Pragmatic studies are being conducted to provide benefits in this regard. In this study, it is aimed to examine the use of figurative language, which has a sub-heading, based on pragmatic studies. Our work consists of three parts. The first section focuses on theoretical knowledge of betili language approaches. In the second part, brief information about the life and works of Memmed Ismayil is given. In the third part, the use of the betilian language in the poems was determined and given in sub-headings. Accordingly, the metaphor "Death is the Last Journey" is used the most; As for analogies, structures established without the use of prepositions are used more frequently; As for rhetorical questions, the most common expressions were "mI", "nә" and "kim". In addition, it has been observed that the poet frequently uses personification, exaggeration and contrast arts in order to strengthen the meaning.
